Performance Squad

About

Our Performance Squad is the highest standard of swimming at Durham University. To be a part of this squad, swimmers will have to demonstrate a solid level of swimming ability at our trials throughout the year.

Performance Squad has the main aim of competing in some capacity, whether that be in local club meets around the county or at the highest level of National competition.

Training

Performance Squad has access to seven swimming sessions per week, taking place at the local leisure centre, Freemans Quay, with a session also at Durham School. On top of this, the squad also has access to two Strength and Conditioning sessions, which are led by a trained member of staff and take place in Durham University’s sports centre, Maiden Castle.

*Training times are subject to change year by year.
